*Due to the overwhelming interest in this workshop we have added a new date – May 12, 2017
In this workshop participants will learn how to support creativity and art as a language in the classroom by viewing visuals of real Early Years environments. We will look at organizing space and time so that young children can choose art every day. Young children learn through play and we will look at the connections between art and play. We will also look at art and inquiry in Early Years classrooms and learn how to develop art mini lessons and technique instruction, and we will look at the possibilities of using found objects in art. Participants will have opportunities to play, explore, reflect and create. You will have time to discover the wonderful treasures in Arts Junktion and to gather materials to take back to your classroom. (Specifically designed for Nursery, K, 1 and 2)
