CREATING A LEATHER MASK-MAKING
Come explore the magical ancient world of leatherwork! Make your own unique leather mask using innovative techniques! Each participant will be guided through some basic skills such as hand dying, stamping and moulding leather. You will go home with a one-of-a-kind art piece that is both functional and fantastic. In this workshop you will learn new things, be creative and have fun!
Talie Polischuk is an artist, leatherworker and jewellery designer living and working out of Winnipeg. Her designs draw inspiration from natural history illustration, anatomy, art nouveau, printed ephemera, and imaginary spaces within nature. She loves working with leather and her goal is to continually deepen her understanding of the traditional leather craft while developing her own unique approach.
