TEACHING ART IN A CLASSROOM
ANDREA BELL STUART and BARB DONCASTER
Terrifying gargoyles, fascinating dragons, mythical beasts – people have been creating unique and amazing creatures since ancient times. Students of all ages enjoy working with animals and this topic can support inquiry in social studies, language arts and science.
Join Andrea and Barb for a day of exemplary art practices designed for the generalist classroom teacher. In this hands-on workshop participants will create their own fantastic creatures. You will draw, paint and model your creature and then design the perfect habitat for it. Perfect for grades 3 to 8!
Andrea Bell Stuart and Barb Doncaster are very experienced Art Educators that have conducted art workshops for teachers throughout the province and have taught Art Education courses at both U of M and U of W.
