USING CARDBOARD TO CREATE IMAGINATIVE BUILDINGS
with Colleen Leduc
In this workshop, participants will learn to construct sculptures of imaginative buildings using repurposed cardboard and sustainable materials. When children create sculptures they have the opportunity to be creative thinkers – to tap into the imaginative right brain. They have the freedom to solve real problems, to make creative decisions, to collaborate and to come up with innovative solutions. Suitable for Grades 3 to 8.
Colleen Leduc is a practicing artist and an instructor at WAG Studio. With an emphasis on sustainability and community, she creates sculptures of buildings using cardboard and other discarded materials. Colleen’s work with children often focuses on the importance of places and belonging.
